With paper being our No.1 raw material, we are 100% committed to reducing the environmental impact of printed books and strive every day to minimise our carbon footprint. We are proud to maintain our certification for both the FSC® and PEFC™ chain of custody for paper stocks in support of responsible forestry. We actively monitor our production processes continually striving to minimise waste, reuse and recycle as part of the day to day running of our operations. We have also proudly partnered with Carbon Neutrals' Plant-a-Tree Conservation Program to help restore an important biodiverse habitat for future generations.
FSC® + PEFC™
Our FSC® paper stock is sourced from strategically planted forests that are constantly audited by an independent third party to confirm they are managed according to FSC®’s rigorous social and environmental standards.
Chain of custody (FSC® and PEFC™) certifications tracks forest-based products from the source to the final product and maintaining these certifications demonstrates that each step of the supply chain is closely monitored through independent auditing to ensure that unsustainable sources are excluded.
We like to invite our valued clients for a tour of our partners’ sustainable plantation where trees are grown specifically for paper production. Our partner is proud to be part of the Climate Active Network by producing paper products under the Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standard.

On a day-to-day basis, we maintain a number of initiatives around reducing chemical usage and waste, reusing/recycling and managing power consumption. Here are just a few of our initiatives:
☼ We print using premium vegetable-based inks to reduce the consumption of non-renewable sources.
☼ We bind using superior water-soluble adhesives to reduce the consumption of non-renewable sources.
☼ We use a computer to plate (CTP) system that uses 90% less chemistry than any other system in place.
☼ We have an onsite power factor correction device to improve the efficiency of our power usage.
☼ We have an onsite paper extraction system to collect and prepare waste paper for recycling.
☼ We recycle all aluminium plates used in offset printing along with all our strawboard and offcuts.
Plant-a-Tree Partner.
We love books, we also love Australia and we want to help change our world for the better. We have proudly partnered with Carbon Neutrals' Plant-a-Tree Conservation Program to help restore an important biodiverse habitat for future generations by planting Australian native trees and shrub species on degraded farmland in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor - this is the largest project of its kind in Australia.
The program aims to restore the natural landscape, reproduce natural ecosystems and reconnect habitats for our wildlife by linking small patches of remaining vegetation to create a 200km corridor from inland to the coast.
These trees are protected for 100 years by a Carbon Covenant registered with the state government on the land title, ensuring the trees cannot be removed or compromised, even if the property is sold.
